Frets On Fire!

I like it for the songs and how easy it is to just open a program instead of going downstairs to play GH.

But... no online multiplayer. still a disappointment



but anyway. its a great game

Acctualy, i have a alpha version of online im coding atm about 95% done.

EDIT: (NOT ONLINE) but an online chat system inside fof.

DUDE. are you serious? that would be awesome! like, your playing, and you get a message, you pause, and you chat with someone else whos playing... i love the idea!!!

well since its just an alpha, atm itd just be a option in main menu (CHAT) but this is the start for online, after this works i could code an online just like SOS in a week,.

I had this idea a long time ago. Everyone told me to use the IRC channel. Also, that people start up FOF to play, not to chat.

you are using Python, right? because I couldn't see any other way to code in a chat.

JRDN- as i said, im just addin this as a bonus feature to prove i can get fof online, + if you dont know sockets youd have serious problems doing this, ALSO it DOES! work, just not in fof atm.

EDIT: yes in python, im codeing it with a server an a client, and i have an old spare comp im going to use to host the server, so people can connect to the server 24/7 when its up.

Proof is a good thing.

but still, it would just be easier to have it in FOF instead of alt+tabbing to go to the IRC channel... and it would be a cool little addition. would it be integrated into the alarian mod, by chance?

most likely, im working on it at my own pace thou.

It might be just me but I think people are moving away from MFH - Alarian and starting to download the wide variety of other mods coming up. Example: Hero and Project: Clone. Therefore he could import it to alarian or post his own.

I've even thought about making my own mod..

When online is coded in fof all other previous versions would be a waste of time - in my opinion, and since im doing it the SMART way with a server, i could also create a ranked online fof, with accounts, passwords, hell even admins and such,

once i get the chat system working everything elce should just fall into place.

definitly. because not everyone finds the IRC chat... well, efficient... i like the idea of in-game chatting like XBOX.
